The Daily Record and the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce have announced the recipients of the inaugural Maryland Hispanic Leadership Awards, a new program created to recognize the growing and continued influence of Hispanics in Maryland’s economy, culture, and communities.
Veronica Cool, Founder of Cool & Associates, LLC was named as a recipient of the Business Leadership Award, which honors business leaders for their tangible and innovative efforts within the business sector. Through strategic consulting, bilingual outreach, and innovative workforce development initiatives, Veronica has helped hundreds of companies, nonprofits, and government agencies better connect with and serve this growing population. Her leadership has not only strengthened client organizations but also created meaningful opportunities for thousands of Maryland residents, demonstrating the powerful role that Latino-led businesses play in driving economic growth and community impact.
“Being part of this first class of honorees is deeply meaningful to me as a Latina business owner and entrepreneur originally from the Dominican Republic,” said Veronica Cool, CEO of Cool & Associates, LLC. “This honor isn’t just about me, but our entire team at Cool—it reflects the collective impact we create when we focus on steady, strategic work that builds bridges to improve access and open doors. Every project we complete, every organization we help connect authentically with Latino communities, every pathway we create matters. This recognition is special; what matters most is the lasting change we create – one partnership at a time.”
“The inaugural Maryland’s Hispanic Leadership Awards honorees are dynamic and impactful leaders who are shaping our state’s economy, culture and communities,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, managing director of BridgeTower Media/The Daily Record.
The honorees span six categories: Business, Government, Health Care, Higher Education, Law, and Nonprofits. Together, they embody the strong leadership and profound contributions Latinos bring to Maryland.
