Who is Veronica Cool?

Veronica Cool, a native of the Dominican Republic, with over 20 years of corporate experience in the United States, comfortably straddling both cultures.

She founded Cool & Associates LLC, a management consultancy established to connect Latinos to Mainstream America. We specialize in creating strategic Hispanic engagement strategy for government, nonprofits and businesses in all industries. Cool also executes on the strategy with initiatives including marketing, language services, community outreach, and professional development and training.

Veronica strives to build bridges between these cultures to drive sustainable engagement. By authentically learning about each other’s culture, heritage, traditions, and then applying effective culturally appropriate initiatives, we increase engagement, productivity, and satisfaction.

Her projects include the Latino Innovators Pitch, Hispanic Engagement Toolkit along with mentoring students and entrepreneurs. Veronica has presented nationally and internationally addressing topics such as Hispanic Engagement, Diverse Segment Marketing, Minority/WBE & Entrepreneurship, Financial Literacy, Latino Hiring & Engagement, Community Networking, Access to Capital, and Women in Business & Leadership. Her work has also been published in various publications, including Huffington Post, The Daily Record and Mundo Latino.

Veronica has been recognized by First Lady Michelle Obama, and has received various awards including the NFL Leader in Diversity, Innovator of The Year Award, Top 25 Women to Watch, Daily Record’s MD Top 100 Woman, inducting her into the Circle of Excellence and the US Hispanic Chamber Ultimate Latina Award in the Corporate Sector.

She lives in Maryland, with her husband and two college-age kids, keeping busy writing, reading and donating firetrucks.

Speaking Topics

Hispanic Engagement 101: With Latinos representing the fastest, largest, and youngest segment of the U.S. population, find out how companies and nonprofits organizations can outreach and connect in meaningful ways with this often-untapped pool of potential customers, employees, and stakeholders, including students, volunteers, voters, and patients.

Driving Impact through Community Outreach: Community outreach serves to integrate segments of the population that are not actively involved in everyday society- whether student life, the employee pool, or long-term policymakers and advocates. Learn how strategic outreach can empower diverse communities while improving and cultivating powerful partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders.

Activating and incorporating culturally intelligent initiatives centered on diverse community outreach can result in positive results and outcomes for every organization.

Recruiting, Hiring & Developing the Latino Workforce: The Hispanic community, representing approximately 20% of the U.S population, is a tremendous economic force and a significant portion of the workforce. Learn how your organization can effectively engage all employees to drive internal improvement and increased revenue (sales & grants!) and profitability. Also learn best practices to attract, recruit, hire, and retain bilingual and Latino talent.

The Boom of Latino Entrepreneurs:  There are nearly 5 million Hispanic-owned businesses in the United States contributing more than $800 billion to the American economy annually. With Hispanics establishing businesses at 3.5 times the national average. Discover the impact, talent, and diversity of Hispanic businesses in both industry and scope.
